Tribute to 1933 Goudey Napoleon Lajoie - Joakim Soria
by Goose Joak
A card to commemorate 100 career saves for Joakim Soria. The card is styled after Napoleon Lajoie's card in the 1933 Goudey set, which is one of the five most valuable cards of all time.
Here's the scorecard of the game, courtesy of the always excellent Royals Scorecards. The level of detail on his scorecards is incredible. It's got pitch-by-pitch data, plus summary of strikes thrown, etc. by each pitcher. I mean, seriously. That's awesome. You owe it to yourself to check out his website.
I'm going to print this one out as a collectible!
Hope you enjoy.
Oh wow. Very cool. The PSA case is a nice touch.
ReplyDeletemoe.
1933 makes not only the score card a collector's item, but the card itself, no?
ReplyDeleteBy the way I'm definitely going to make some use of Royals Scorecards from now on so thanks for the tip.
ReplyDeleteGlad you liked the scorecard Dave. I've been busy this Memorial Day weekend, and hope to be caught up with this Boston series in the next day or two. Check your email for the full size versions.
