Pretty neat as a kid. I wasn't used to seeing baseball players out of uniform, much less a living legend, in a cowboy outfit, on his ranch, with his dog.

Apparently Chase is a big animal fan. From ReadingEagle.com:

Chase and his wife, Jen, are picking up the more than $3,000 bill to treat a severely beaten and savagely burned boxer puppy currently in the care of the Philadelphia branch of the Pennsylvania Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals.
