Tribute to 1992 Stadium Club - Mike Aviles

Flip...flip...flip...

The Mike Aviles bat twirl is among the more entertaining batting stance attributes in baseball. It's not cocky like the Sheffield bat waggle. It's just a little flippy thing that he does with his arms. Kind of like a stuttering helicopter blade.

  1. Looks great! Stadium Club was my favorite set introduced in the 1990s.

  2. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think that there were basketball cards made by Stadium Club. I always think of the term "stadium" and think of outdoor. Isn't that what it is. Either way nice card...now if he would start to hit like we all thought he could!

  3. Thanks!

I agree that stadiums are outdoors. Indoor "stadiums" are what...arenas? Topps Arena Club for Basketball.

Agreed on Aviles. Yiiiiiiiiikes. He went through the Goose Joak Total Confidence Machine and came out a mess. So did Kyle Davies.
