Goose Joak Reader Request - You Decide What Card Comes Next!

I think it would be fun to do a few more cards suggested by you, the readers of Goose Joak!

I'm open to any and all suggestions. You can leave your request in the comments section.

Please specify:

1. The card type (i.e. 2006 Topps)
2. The player (i.e. Bret Saberhagen)
3. The team (i.e. Royals)
4. Any other notes about the card (i.e. you want it to be from a particular insert set or subset)

There is only one rule -- it has to be a card that doesn't exist!

I have no idea how few or how many suggestions I'll get, so let's see how this goes. I promise to attempt at least the first two comments I get, if I get that many.

If I get any more comments, well, that's awesome! I'll keep those in my back pocket for a little bit later, perhaps.

Let's see where your imagination takes us next...

...and thanks to everybody who reads this blog!

  1. I'd love to see the Mets card of Jose Lima that Topps didn't bother to make in 2006.

  2. 1976 Topps Adam LaRoche / Chipper Jones Sweet Swings Subset...
(yeah, okay, I made that up. I just couldn't decide between my two favourite players...)

  3. You've got a great blog going, and you've already done a Chris Sabo card for me. Any more Reds you do are greatly appreciate...year, set, player don't matter much, as long as they are Reds. :)

  4. I'd like to see a new Royal. How about a David DeJesus on a 1981 Donruss?

  5. How about a 2004 Topps Bill Buckner (in Red Sox uni)? What can I say, I like irony!

  6. If we can get Pedro Martinez, 1991 Upper Deck, in a Red Sox uniform with him pointing skywards after a complete game that would turn into my computer's background. If you can't get him pointing skyward any action shot would do.

  7. These are all awesome suggestions! Making these is going to be a lot of fun. I've already started on Jose Lima.

As I complete each one, I'll sprinkle it in with the other cards I'm planning on doing. Lima should be on his way before too long, and I'll go right through the rest of them. Why not? They're all good ideas.

As for The Writer's Journey's request...I'm thinking Jose Rijo, Billy Hatcher or Eric Davis at this point. If I had to pick, I'm probably leaning toward Eric Davis!

  8. Eric Davis is a good direction to lean!
